DIY PEARL VEIL BEANIE

I love hats!! Can't get enough of them. I got this inspiration from the pink veil beanie that Rihanna wore last year. To add a twist i decided to put pearls on mine, to give it an urban chic style.

Supplies
8in nylon netting
Beanie
Thread and needle
String of pearls ( i use glass pearls)

First thing I folded my nylon netting width wise. No need to trim the netting.

Next i place the beanie in the center of the netting. I didnt pin the hat to the netting because I knew it was not going to be difficult to sew it together.
Next thread the needle and sew on the netting to the hat.

This is a side view of the beanie after i finished sewing on the netting. I put an inch of the netting below the beanie because i want it to cover my head a little.

The most time consuming part of the diy was sewing the pearls securely so they wouldn't fall off.

I threaded the needle. Then I tied a note on the end of the thread. I pushed the pearl through the needle and sewed through the hole of the pearl back out through the hat.

These are photos of the finished products!

Fash Traveling: New Orleans

I recently went to new orleans for the first time. New Orleans was a whole new atmosphere for me. The culture that surrounds New Orleans is amazing. Although hurricane katrina hit back in 2006, you can barely notice by the remaining beauty of the city.

My bro from another mother onced lived in new orleans before katrina. So he took me and my sis sight seeing through his old neighborhood.

These abandon apartments that were in the 9th ward before going over the canal. Look like a ghost town.

The graffiti art on the buildings were cool! Lol well i thought they were.

Here is another graffiti art i took a picture of. I wonder did Charles do that?

This is actually an abandon elementary school. That was located across from the ghost town.

This was walking distance from the school. The houses were stacked so high from the ground. You barely see but they are high. If you jump off the porch you commiting suicide. Lol. They are like that because of the chances of it flooding.

We were driving down a street when we noticed chickens running across the street. Real chickens....I was completely shocked by this.

Zatarain's i love the rice!!!!!!!!! I seriously thought that was the closest I would ever get to new orleans style food.

I loved the architecture of the buildings. They looked vintage and old. It gave it a throwback in a modern world type of feel.

More buildings!!! I just love the views. I was on top of a roof by the way. The weather was amazing! Not too hot not too cold.

This is the aquarium. I couldnt remember if that was downtown area but i loved the way the clouds looked. I was scared and didnt even storm so i got scared for nothing.

These are a picture of beignets before cooked. It an amazing, addicting, fluffy, sugar powdered coated pastry but i think its a drug because murdered like 4 of them in a millisecond. They are mostly sold only in new orleans. This was at the Cafe du Monde. I have been craving these since i left. If you are ever in new orleans please try a beignet!

This was outside the mall of which i forgot the name of. It was a cool mall! I think i stayed there for about 30 years. Lol. The photo was taken after it finished raining. It was right by the river. We saw boats passing through.

Here is another photo from the dock after the rain.

The buildings were closr together. Like i said i love the architecture of the buildings.

Nightlife a photo before I went on bourbon street! I was standing on the roof of a garage. Beautiful view.

A palm tree outside our hotel. I was suprised to see palm trees in NO. I guess since its on the coast line.

This was a statue right before you enter in city park. It is a statue of P.G.T Beauregard who was a Louisiana born military officer that served in the civil war.We were going to the seafood festival.

My sis, Trina, walking through city park to get to the festival.

These are swans i captured while walking through the park. They were so graceful and beautiful as the rain fell.
Love this picture i took. The house huge. It was not the biggest house i saw but i like how the raindrops give it a more professional look.

This was probably my favorite summer outfit. I got the shirt last year over the winter time at Wet Seal. It only cost probably $3. The shorts are may fave. They are Levi's that I cut into shorts. I have been wearing these shorts almost every chance I get. The shoes I love love. Only cost me $14 from Body Central. Regular price was $34. I got them on sale while shopping in the winter time.( it pays off) The flower crown I made myself I refused to pay for one from claires too much money.

I went to a Art's Festival this day. I thought to get in my artistic mood and wear a couple of things that I created myself.
